Gwendolen Hines Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2020, at the age of 87, Gwendolen Hines (Carmi, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert John and Eva May Greenacre (Cross); her husband Grover Glenn Hines; and her siblings, Ted Greenacre, Doris Fitzsimmons, Edith Bennett and Joan Hammond.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Hines (Avis) of Carmi, Edward Hines (Deb) of Lancaster, PA and Elizabeth Masterson (Craig) of Burnt Prairie; her brother-in-law Arthur Fitzsimmons of England; and her grandchildren, Erica Zieren (Joe), Matt Hines (Whitney), Coy Masterson (Candace), Chad Masterson (Ashli Potter), Cody Masterson (Peighton Parks), Derek Hines (Jocelyn), Kevin Hines (Marina), Shawn Hines, Brian Hines, Angie Darnell, Luke McPherson and Josh McPherson. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Gwendolen's memory to Wabash Christian Village, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and CWCHS Bulldog Booster Club and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
