He is survived by: his parents, Virgil Chaffin and Lora Chaffin (Lamb); his wife Ruth Chaffin of Carmi; his son Timothy Chaffin of Naperville, IL; and his grandchildren, Julia Chaffin, Sarah Chaffin, Mary Chaffin and Samuel Chaffin.
