Gene Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Young of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on April 9, 2022 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Young to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward and Estella Young (Dunham); his spouse Shelby Young; and his siblings, Margaret Young and Edward Young.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Tina Felitsky of Maryland and Dawn Moore of Florida; his great grandchild Meagan Bowers; his nephew Mike Young (Jeanie) of Carmi; and his niece Diana Donahoo of Centralia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gene's memory to the Carmi American Legion or Carmi VFW and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi.
