With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ervin Hargrave of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on November 29, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Baylus Hargrave and Martha Hargrave (Baird); his wife Alva Lee Hargrave; and his siblings, Lester Hargrave, Chester Hargrave and Reva Price.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Hargrave (Teresa) of Carmi, IL., Gene Hargrave (Rosemary Tarran) of Lake Placid, FL. and Richard Lee Hargrave (Rebecca) of Shelbyville, IL.; his grandchildren, Chance Hargrave (Emily), Chelsea Duncan (Johnny), Jonathan Hargrave, Melissa Daugherty (Brian), Michelle Cox, Whitney Zomer (Mike), Kortney Brand (Monte), Karlie Tarran (Luke Libraro) and Victor Reader (Anthony Hutchinson); his great grandchildren, Braxton Barden-Simmons, Layton Cox (Madi), Daniel Zomer, Hannah and Hunter Daugherty; his great great grandchildren, Margaux and Rudy Cox; and his sister Marilyn Ackerman of Carmi, IL..
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ervin's memory to We Love White County, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
