We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2023, at the age of 82, Eddie Spence of Carmi, Illinois, born in Norris City, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton Spence and Fannie Spence (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Gail Campbell; his children, Edie Pope of Murfreesboro, TN and Rick Chapman (Kathy Bible) of Iuka, IL; his grandchildren, Morgan Pope, Jason Chapman and Kristen Chapman; his siblings, Helen Doris Hampton of Carmi, Barbara Kramer (Dewain) of Fairfield, IL and Carl Spence (Jane) of Salem, IL; his sisters-in-law, Ann Leithliter of Carmi and Carolyn York of Carmi; and his son-in-law David Pope.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eddie's memory to Plainview General Baptist Church or the Parkinson's Foundation and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is in charge of arrangements.
