Doris Jean Malone Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025, at the age of 86, Doris Jean Malone (Carmi, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Ivan and Lucy Lorene Taylor (Files); her husband Ervin; her stepmother Lois; and her sisters, Dorothy Preston, Marykay Wilkerson, Jo Rankin and Linda Smothers.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve (Susie) of Marion, IL and Eddie (Tisha); her grandchildren, Sara Geissinger (Skyler), Nick, Connor, Mason, Jenna and Eric Malone; her stepgrandchildren, Bryon Stewart and Stephanie Jakowski (Tim); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ava Dorsey, Bevon Stewart and Magnolia Jakowski; and her siblings, Cheryl Johnson (Ed) of Chenoa, IL and Jimmy Taylor (Elisa) of Fairfield, IL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
