She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hunsinger and Pauline Hunsinger (Holmes); her son Tracey Steven Smith; her brothers, Doug and Delbert Hunsinger; and her grandson Steven Lee Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Stephen Smith; her son Travis Dale Smith; her sister Connie Barnett; her grandchildren, Ryan Stocke, Christopher Smith, Trae Smith and Chrissy Smith; and her great grandchildren, Nahla Jo, Charly, Easton, Mason, Tate, Damon, Teagan, Ava, Jace, Lia, Blaine and Greyson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kay's memory to Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
