He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry A. Veatch and Myrtle Veatch (Williams); and his brother Harry D. Veatch. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Browning; his sons, Deacon Veatch and Zachary Veatch (Rhea); his stepson Eric Knight (Miranda); and his siblings, Debra Heil (Steve), Norman Veatch (Linda) and Charlie Webb. He is also survived by four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
