The memory of Chris Brown of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 70, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Leroy and Verla Maxine Brown (Kiefer); his son Christopher Michael "Little Chris" Brown; and his brother Jimmy Brown. He is survived by: his wife Sheri A. Weil; his children, Jennipher McCormick (Scott) of Evansville, IN, Keri Jackson (Tim) of Carmi, William "Bill" Brown (Carla) of Evansville, IN and Kristin Brown of Marion, IL; his grandchildren, Kahlan Brown, Paige, Cooper Jackson, Molly McCormick and Devin Marlowe; and his siblings, Judy Coston (Ron) of Carmi, Bill Brown of Carmi and Johnny Max Brown (Charlotte) of Palmyra, IN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
