With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bonnie Gay of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bonnie Gay to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Martin and Mary Josephine Martin (Walker); and her husband Clarence Edward Gay. She is survived by: her sons, Scott Ready of Mt. Vernon, IL. and Derek Ready (Kona) of Grayville, IL; her grandchildren, Sheena Dudley (Patrick) of Mt. Vernon, IL, Zoey Ready of Las Vegas, NV, Tyler Compton (Jamie) of Grayville, IL. and Keegan Ready (Tiffany) of Grayville, IL; and her sister Lois Wood (Ted) of Carmi, IL. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie's memory to the Baptist Children's Home and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home or by mail to 609 W.Main.
