He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Rushing and Rita Mae Rushing (Nelson); his wife Lenora Ellen Maurer; and his sister Phyllis Pumphrey. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Rushing (Kelly Erwin) of Carmi; and his siblings, Connie Hernandez of Shawneetown, Liz Davenport of Harrisburg, Bertiefae Glasscock of Shawneetown and Rick Rushing of Shawneetown.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the White County Senior Citizens Center and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
