He is survived by: his wife Dixie DeWitt of Carmi; his children, Brian DeWitt (Maggie Cochran) and Holly Russell (Chris) of Carmi; his granddaughters, Brenna and Braelyn Russell of Carmi; and his sister Betty Ray of Fairfield, IL..
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Springerton Christian Church (219 West St, Springerton, IL 62887). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmi Compassion Center and will be accepted at the church.
