It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Turner of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hays and Emily White; her husband John Edward "Ed" Turner; her daughter Jane Turner; and her grandson Jason Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Bassemier (Terry) of Carmi, IL and John Turner of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Megan Straw, Morgan Aldridge, Madison Turner, Angela Mendenhall, Lisa Miller, Ashley Jenkins, Beth McWhirter and Heather Bassemier; and her brothers, Bob Virgil and Bill Hays. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
