She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Bell and Merrel Bell; her husband James Howell; her children, Donna Peyton and John Howell; and her siblings, Bob Bell, Roy Bell, Ralph Bell, Lois Feldman, Charlotte Cross and Mary Lou York.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Sullivan and James M. Howell, Jr.; her grandchildren, Samantha Webb (Josh), Kristina Sullivan, Amber Sullivan (Brett), Crystal Slone (Scott), Shawn Peyton (Barbie) and Michael Sullivan; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Webb, Brody, Easton Sullivan, Gavin Peyton, Mayci Edwards, Chase Peyton, Autumn Peyton, Peyton Edwards, Mitchell Edwards and Serenity Murdoch.
Private burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home.
