He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harmon and Janie Irene Powell (Ames); and his siblings, Frances Davenport and Buddy Powell. He is survived by: his wife Jannie; his children, Donna Hinton of Clinton, IA, Irene Fedie of Rockford, IL, Nancy Fisher of Crossville, Allen Powell of Wayside, MS, Glenn Powell of Glenview, MS, Arthur Powell, Jr. of Rockford, IL, Matthew Powell and Richard Powell; his sisters, Annette Kirkpatrick of Ocean Springs, MS, Juanita Ford of Gulfport, MS, Janie Schrantz of Biloxi, MS and Diane Goff of Saucier, MS; and his mother-in-law Sue Brockett of Carmi. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
