He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas James and Phyllis Jean Hicks (Meyers); his brothers, Jerry Hicks and Monty Hicks; and his nephew Justin Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Lynette Hicks of Carman, Illinois; his children, Daniel Hicks (Debbie) of Burlington, Amy Schier (Dan) of Mediapolis, Lori Schmitz (Jason) of Mt. Pleasant and Benjamin Hicks (Amanda) of Burlington; and his brother Joe Hicks (Terry) of Yarmouth. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
