He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brown and Isabelle Vaughan Brown; his daughter Sharri Lynn Richard; and his brother William Brown. He is survived by: his wife Margie Burrell; his children, Julie Brooks (Doug) of Carman, IL, Kathy Lafary (John) of Smithshire, IL and Jim Brown (Sara) of Stronghurst; his grandchildren, Jamie Plath (Brian), Hillary Peterson (Richie), Mariah Malcolm (Ken), Monica Wilson (Tyler), Allison Harden (Nathan), Mallory Edwards (Tyler), Jordyn Brown and Jacqueline Evans; and his great grandchildren, Jayda, Jaycee, Jenna, Brooks, Mila, Tanner, Elliott, Charleigh and Oliver.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Banks & Beals Funeral Home - Stronghurst (301 S Mary St, Stronghurst, IL 61480). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for West Central Elementary School.
