He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fredrick Lyle and Esther Henry (Gossage); his wife Connie Barnes; his children, Cindy Nelson (David) of Biggsville, IL, Davey Henry (Bev) of Burlington, IA and Robbie Henry (Mary) of Burlington, IA; his grandchildren, Jacob Henry (Kayla), Zachary Nelson (Jaylin), Katelynn Deehring (Tyler), Kelsie Henry, Sarah Nelson and Dalton Henry (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Jaymeson, Wade, Jolene, Johanna, Walter and Jayde; and his siblings, Bob, Leon, Larry Henry, Barbara Hensley and Pat Yetter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Carman Community Center and Dallas City Riverview Sportsman for youth programs.
