She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hediger and Clara Hediger (Schubert); her husband Alvin A. Beckemeyer; her siblings, Earl Hediger, Lucille Zimmerman, Ethel Reymond, Irene Wegman, Elva Johnson, Loyd Hediger and Orville Hediger; and her parents-in-law, Loretta, Elmer "Bud" Dorries, Wayne, JoAgnes Beckemeyer, Calvin, Marilyn Beckemeyer, Robert Beckemeyer, Herbert, Ruth Beckemeyer, Clinton, Mary Ann Beckemeyer, Geneva Beckemeyer and Wilma Beckemeyer.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Schaubert (Dennis) of Shattuc, Larry Beckemeyer (Betty) of Carlyle, Kevin Beckemeyer (Jeannie) of Marion and Randy Beckemeyer (Sue) of Highland. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of other gifts, the family suggests donations in Ruby's memory to Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle or to the American Heart Association.
