He is survived by: his children, Lisa Rickher (Mark) of Matthews, NC, Dennis Diekemper (Tracey) of Trenton, IL, Jane Gillam (Shawn) of Troy, IL and Mary Sue Harber (Dean) of Trenton, IL.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mackey (Devan), Amanda Alfieri (Nick), Allison Pullen (Scott), Colleen Kunz (Keith), Kelly Baer (Adam), Michael Diekemper (Hannah), Logan Gillam (Liz), Haley Binder (Peter), Cameron Harber and Lauren Harber; his siblings, Paul Diekemper (Evelyn), Evelyn Tryba (Ernest) and Laurette; and his sister-in-law Leona Hodapp.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the St. Mary Church (1171 Jefferson St, Carlyle, IL 62231). Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zieren Funeral Home (1111 Clinton St, Carlyle, IL 62231). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (1171 Jefferson St, Carlyle, IL 62231).
