We bid farewell to Mildred Kapp of Carlyle, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 12, 2024 at the age of 98. Mildred touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry L. Krebs and Susan Krebs (Isaak); her husband Wilford Kapp; her siblings, Eugene Krebs (Audrey), Elmer Krebs (Lucille) and Marcella "Sally" Kampwerth (Cornelius "Bud); and her in-laws, Edward Holthaus, Howard, Catherine Kapp, Helen, George Wuebbles, Delores and Camelius Markus.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis "Doc" Kapp (Roselyn) of Beckemeyer, Sharon Kleiner (Larry) of Greenville, Ken Kapp of Oakland, CA, Larry Kapp of Carlyle, Dallas Kapp (Jo-Ann) of Florida and Michelle Kraus (Rich) of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Barber (Josh), Shad Kleiner (Liz), Cody Kleiner, Morgan Eubank (Eric), Riley Kraus and Reece Kraus; and her sister Enda Holthaus of Beckemeyer. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zieren Funeral Home (1111 Clinton St, Carlyle, IL 62231). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (1171 Jefferson St, Carlyle, IL 62231).
