He was predeceased by: his mother Rose Mary Kampwerth; his in-law Mabel Holland; and his brother-in-law Charles Holland. He is survived by: his father Roland Kampwerth; his wife LuAlice Kampwerth; his daughter Whitney Kampwerth Luebbers; his close friend John Luebbers; his siblings, Donna Henrichs (Kenny), Mark Kampwerth (Joyce), Dale Kampwerth (Cindy), Roland Kampwerth, Jr. and Dean Kampwerth (Lisa); and his in-laws, Harvey, Janet Holland, Mark, Jean Holland and Marsha Holland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zieren Funeral Home (1111 Clinton St, Carlyle, IL 62231). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1171 Jefferson St, Carlyle, IL 62231).
