He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Taylor and Mildred Taylor (Kolmer); his son Kenneth Taylor; his stepchildren, Danny Anthony and Lisa George; his siblings, Mildred "Sis" Lampe (Dave), Phyllis Schniers (Bernell), Roy (Louise Taylor), Jack Taylor and Charles Taylor; and his great great grandchild Owen Lorenz.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Cooley; his children, Victor Taylor (Julia Wysocki) of Carlyle, Mark Taylor (Jacqueline) of Benton, IL, Cindy Behnke (Bert) of Gilbert, Lydia Clark (Mike) of Athens and Terri Newkirk (Robert) of Carlyle; his stepchildren, James Anthony of Carlyle and Lori Trame of Beckemeyer; his siblings, Robert Taylor (Connie) of Cabot, Arkansas, Ilene Allison (Ray) of Chester, IL, Darlene Hegger (Donnie) of Aviston, IL and Nancy Weckler (Chris) of Trenton, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Taylor and Patricia Taylor. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
