Edwin Varel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Varel of Carlyle, Illinois, born in Bartelso, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Varel and Mary Varel; his wife Irlene A. Varel; and his siblings, Leo Varel (Marcella), Martha Duing (Wally), Agnes Holtman (Joe), Clara May Huelsman (Joseph), Laura Laux (Laverne) and Lucy Korte (Alphonse).
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Varel (Debbie Dale) of Carlyle and Mary Varel Johnson (Jay) of Livingston, Texas; his grandchildren, John David Crow, Ashley Brooke Hemker and Nicholas A. Stoffel; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Huegen of Albers and Marilyn Haake of Germantown.
Those attending the visitation and service are asked to please wear a face mask, observe social distance recommendations, and refrain from handshakes, hugs, and close contact.
