With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Stroud of Carlyle, Illinois, born in Paragould, Arkansas, who passed away on October 14, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Stroud and Lucille Stroud (Pinion); his wife Geneva Cox; his sons, Floyd Stroud and Donald Stroud Jr.; his son-in-law Jerry Nolte; his grandson Quinton Zapp; and his brothers, John Stroud and Edward Stroud.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Nolte of Shattuc, Jason Stroud of Carlyle and Donna Stroud of Carlyle; his grandchildren, Jordan Stroud (Courtney Bequette), Jacob Nolte (Misty Bell), Tristan Nolte (Valerie), Brandi Gehrs (Nick), Brittany Zapp (Thomas Holman) and Julie Nolte; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Heidi, Zoe, Raynor, Gage, Jack, Emery, Sophia, Colt, Chase and Charlotte.

Donations in his memory are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, IL.
