He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Yates and Shirley Yates (Hamblin); his uncles, Ray Yates (Karen), Roy Shepard (Thelma) and Don Huff; and his nephew Brandon.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Yates (Tatom) of Carlyle, Illinois; his children, Andrew Coston (Rosalie) of Evansville, Indiana and Jennifer Berry (Ronnie) of Carlyle; his stepdaughter Michell McDonald (Tim Nickell) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; his brother Robert Yates of Henderson, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Summer, Layla, Hadlee, Tatom, Amara and Ronan; his aunt Audrey Huff; and his nieces and nephews, Brittany, Brandi, Eric, Chasity, Celina and Cody.
Memorials may be made to Debra Yates and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi, Illinois.
