He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Mitchell, Sr. and Maggie Mitchell (Chapman); his former wives, Alice Clark and Lillian Bacon; his daughter Lucritia Macon; and his grandchildren, Sondra Mitchell and Josh Macon.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Kohrmann; his children, Jimmy Mitchell, Dennis Mitchell, Clayton Mitchell III, Mike Burton, Curtis Mitchell, Jessica Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Anthony Mitchell, Angela Mitchell Brandi Perez, Brittanie Wardlow, Colleen McClain, Matt Mitchell, Nickie Mitchell, Marvis McCline, Tyrone McCline, Rickey Parker, Stoney Turner, Nick Turner and Joseph McGee; and his stepchildren, Kelly Kohrmann, Rebecca Jones, John Kohrmann and Danny Kohrmann. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
