She was predeceased by: her parents, William McLaurin and Helen Picket McLaurin; her daughter Delores Kennard Jones; her husbands, Leon Jones and James Shelton; her son William Jones, Jr.; her sister Lonie Alma McGee; her aunt Lillie Owens; and her close friend Christina Kincaid.
She is survived by: her daughter Lillie Mae Rowell; her granddaughters, Gayle Hickey, Paula Jones and Muriel Jones; her stepdaughters, Joyce Jones and Diane Kennard; her cousins, Willie McGee (Eunice) and Merlean Godbolt; her goddaughters, Renee Adams and Dorothy Pence; her stepgrandson Henry Rowell; and her nieces, Gwen (Alex) and Pat Hudson.
