He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Shirey and Priscilla Shirey (Shawver). He is survived by: his close friend Julie Link of Carlinville, IL; his children, Jeremy Shirey of Louisville, KY, Cullen Shirey of Elkview, WV, Dabnus Shirey of Elkview, WV, Jordan Shirey (Twain) of Louisville, KY and Addison Shirey of Carlinville, IL; his grandson Nasir; and his siblings, Richard Shirey (Carla) of Walton, WV and Michelle Carter (James) of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
