He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Smith and Helen Parnell Smith; his wife Shirley Ann Smith; and his siblings, Frankie Smith and Mary Dingus.
He is survived by: his sons, Randy Smith of Virden, IL and Curtis Smith of Carlinville, IL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
