Mabel E. Chestnut Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2023, at the age of 93, Mabel E. Chestnut of Carlinville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Brooks and Mary Brooks (Elmer G. Chestnut); her children, Mary Lou Lovell, Patsy Sue Stephens and Bobby Lee VanDuesen; and her stepchildren, Sarah Jane Roose and Stephen Ray Chestnut.
She is survived by: her husband Elmer G. Chestnut; her stepsons, Elmer R. Chestnut of Bunker Hill, IL and Donald L. Chestnut (Vicki) of Bunker Hill, IL; her children-in-law, Ron Lovell, Jim Stephens and Donna VanDuesen; her stepdaughter-in-law Diana Chestnut; and her sisters, Alice Zuck, Betty Gaston, Helen Bathen and Cindy Christy. She is also survived by several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Carlinville First Church.
