He was predeceased by: his parents, Willam Waldo Mitchell and Doris Adcock (Ryan); his parents-in-law, Arthur and Velma Wiese; and his brother-in-law Fred Conklin.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Wiese of Carlinville; his children, Clinton Lee Mitchell (Marissa) of Carlinville, IL and Kristina Wise (Dustin) of Carlinville, IL; his grandchildren, Driston Lee Mitchell, Killian Mitchell, Matilda Mitchell, Britton Mitchell, Lillian Wise and Lenyn Wise; and his brothers, Brad Mitchell (Terri) of Springfield, IL, Brent Mitchell (Jessica) of Boston, MA and Brandon Mitchell (Barb) of Carlinville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ (202 E Main St, Carlinville, IL 62626). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
