With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Audrey Regina Kates of Carlinville, Illinois, who passed away on April 5, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rhodes and Genevieve Rhodes (Schaefer); her former husband Herman T. Rugel; her daughter Karen Rosentreter; her siblings, Kathleen Harms, Emmitt, Dale and Wayne Rhodes; and her granddaughter Andrea Sonneborn.
She is survived by: her husband Robert W. Kates of Carlinville, IL; her children, Gary A. Rugel (Dena Marie) of Scottsdale, AZ and Sandy Trump (John Kahl) of Carlinville, IL; her brother Loren Rhodes (Rosemarie) of Carlinville, IL; and her grandchildren, Jenni McDowell, Kate Coleman (Brett), Kelli Trump and Matt Rosentreter (Stephanie). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
