He was predeceased by: his father George Harold Crippen. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Crippen (Goins); his wife Joyce Crippen; his sons, Eric Crippen (Debbie) and Jay Crippen (Billie); his brothers, Steven Crippen (Sheila) and Larry Crippen (Gina); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Jordyn Crippen and Chloe Crippen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Coach Kill Cancer Fund, Strong Survivor Program at SIU, or First United Methodist Church in Carbondale and will be accepted at the church.
