He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Henneberger and Gertrude Henneberger (Link); and his spouse Gerlinde Emma Gleissner. He is survived by: his sister Eleanor McCormick of Pheonix, AZ; his children, Petra Utke (Jean) of Lisle, IL and Bernard Henneberger of Carbondale, IL; his grandchildren, Eva Utke and Lukas Utke; his niece Karen Giles (Scott) of Goodyear, AZ; and his nephews, Ed McCormick (Sue) of Frankfurt, IL, Peter McCormick and Andy McCormick (Laura) of Fayetteville, GA..
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Meredith Funeral Home (300 S University Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A prayer will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 7:45 PM and on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 9:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (303 S Poplar St, Carbondale, IL 62901).
