It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Howerton of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Thornborough and Adeline Thornborough; her husband Fred Allen Howerton, Jr.; her sons, Stephen Dwight and Michael; and her grandson Seth Merrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Claudia Sue; her grandchildren, Tobey Sisk (Warren), Scott Howerton (Cheryl) and Michelle Howerton-Gottman; her great grandchildren, Merrett, Sophia, James Simpkins, Nora Sisk, Tyler and Sydney Howerton; her daughter-in-law Cindie Howerton; and her niece Cathy Burgess. She is also survived by daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren.
