Harris; his grandfather Roberts; his wife Jane Morgan Powers; his granddaughter Marion; his close friend Clara McClure of Carbondale, IL; his sister Virginia Barrett of White Plains, NY; his son-in-law Ed Zinn of Toledo, OH; his grandson-in-law David Zinn (Nichole); his daughter Cynthia Meisel (Eric); his grandchildren, Noah and Grace; his great grandchild Liam of Columbus, OH; his granddaughter Rebecca Shirrell (Eric); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Rachel, Gabe and Joseph Horecker (Mercedes Lang) of Cape Girardeau, MO; his daughter Janet Harris; his grandchild Margaret-Jane Adams (Ethan Owens) of Murphysboro, IL; his great grandchild Marion Adams-Sai (Mustapha); his son David Harris (Kathy) of Orion, IL; his grandson Evan Harris (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Lennon, Sage of Preemption, IL and Jonathan Harris (Rachel); and also, Alex of Sacramento, CA, David Horecker of Anna, IL, Matine, Kadir of Carbondale, IL, Alice Wougamon of Carbondale, Nita Jane, Micah, Justice, Mela, Mason of Rock Island, IL, Laura Albright (Andrew) and Deacon of Davenport, IA..

Burial will be private. There will be a large celebration of life at the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship next year after the Covid pandemic is over.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Stan and Jane Harris Geology Fund at the SIU Foundation, Green Earth, Sierra Club or to an environmental charity of the donor's choice.
