It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Reimbold of Carbondale, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Ekstrom and Harry Ekstrom. She is survived by: her children, Elsa Bruner (Tim), Nora Pulford (Andrew) and Evan Reimbold (Madyson Rogers); her grandchildren, Lucy, Izzy, Emma, Dax and Duke; and her siblings, Elaine, Tom, Augie, Ken and Eric Ekstrom.

She was patient and kind and even brought me some thanksgiving dinner at work—it was the first holiday I ever had to work, and she knew I was alone and far from family.
