He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Shadowens and Beulah Shadowens (Corzine); his son Jim Shadowens; his grandson Branden Hewlett; and his siblings, Robert (Lois Shadowens), James Shadowens (Dale Shadowens), Catherine (Earnest Stephens), Eula Mae Brown, Phyllis, Gene Lows and Mildred Theissen.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Shadowens of Cleburne, IL; his son Jeffery Lee; his daughter-in-law Ann Shadowens of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughter Darla; his son-in-law Wayne Peterson of Evansville, IN; his sons, Greg Olkoski of Herrin and Jeff; his daughter-in-law Beckie Olkoski of Royalton, IL; his son J. K.; his daughter-in-law Suzan Olkoski of Herrin; his grandchildren, Brittany Shadowens, Ryan Shadowens, Ashlie (Tyler Cole), Timothy (April Peterson), Kelsie Olkoski, Sarah Olkoski, Kayla (Brandon Teal), Shay Olkoski and Heather Olkoski; his great grandchildren, Hallie, Cambrie, Ella and Nora; his brother Ronald; his sister-in-law Cindy Shadowens of Murphysboro, IL; and his sister Shirley Smith of Murphysboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
