She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Cockrum and Viva Cockrum (Harrison); her significant other Anderson Buell "A. B." Plunkett; and her brothers, Donald, Dale, Frank, Jerry and Burl Cockrum.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Plunkett (Pam) of Eldorado, Karen Dover (Alan) of DeSoto and Carla June Bishop (Don) of Carbondale; her siblings, Leon Cockrum, Judy Gurley and Phyllis Stroup; her grandchildren, Josh Dover (Lisa), Andrea Austin (Tim), Joy Costephens (Brad), Bret Plunkett, David Bishop (Hanna), Rebekah Futia, Amber Todey (Joe), Daniel Bishop, Anna Bloom (Kyle) and Benjamin Bishop; and her great grandchildren, Patrick, Ethan, Matthew, Max, Malcolm, Isaac, Caroline, Aiden, Jaya, Emma, Izzy, Hannah, Charlie, Marnie, Hope, Logan, Olivia and Blake. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meredith Funeral Home (300 S University Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
