She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Lipe and Kate Lipe (Nance); and her husband Charles Laverne Stevens. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Van Ness (Tom) and Kenneth Stevens (Kelly); her grandchildren, Josh Van Ness, Sabrina Carr (Robert), Gregory Stevens (Michelle) and Victoria Scott (Toby); and her great grandchildren, Hayley Van Ness, Olivia Stevens, Ayla Stevens, Nora Scott and Desi Scott.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Murdale Baptist Church in Carbondale.
