It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mike Nelson of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanine Nelson (Cavaness); his daughter Kelly Nelson; his father Lonnie Nelson Sr.; and his daughter Ashley Beck (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Tammy Nelson (Sweet); his son Jerrod Nelson; his siblings, Pam (Alan Graff), Lonnie Jr. (Gracie Nelson) and Marcie (Kent Buckles); his cousin Terry Nelson (Cindy); and his close friend Eddie Mixon (Mary). He is also survived by many family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery - Carbondale (1100 N Oakland Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901).
