It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenny Wayne Cowan of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Deborah Sue Heern. He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth L. Cowan and Glenda L. Cowan (Stewart) of Herrin; his sister Kimra L. Brand (James) of Herrin; his fiancée Sara Sellers; his son Joey; his brother-in-law Kenny Heern of Thompsonville; his nephews, Jared Warren, Ross Heern and Jacob Warren; and his niece Kendra Jones.

Memorials in Kenny's name may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses or the Shingleton Fund and will be accepted at the school.
