He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Elizabeth Messervey (McLarnan) and James Lawrence Messervey, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Karin Messervey of Marion, IL, Ben Messervey of Marion, IL and Grace Messervey-Davis (Julian) of Carbondale, IL; his siblings, Anna Marie Viera of Crystal River, FL, Linda Browning of Cocoa Beach, FL, James Lawrence "Larry" Messervy, Jr. of St. Augustine, FL and Phillip Messervey (Trish) of St. Augustine, FL; and the mother of his children Elizabeth A. Messervey of Marion, IL. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
