James Clam Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Clam of Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping James' spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Chick" Clam and Alice Clam (Prendergast); his son Timothy; and his wife Rose. He is survived by: his daughter Daisy Chervinko (Mike); his grandchildren, Vio and Hannah of Carbondale; and his siblings, Chick Clam (Ginny) of Chicago, Joe Clam (Susie) of Rock Springs, WI and Marie Clam of Chicago. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Jim was a lover of nature and the outdoors, so in lieu of gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's memory to Friends of Giant City State Park to help with its efforts to maintain the park he and Rose fell so in love with back in 1977 and brought them so much joy and awe over the years.
