With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Compton of Carbondale, Illinois, born in Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on October 12, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Compton and Flossie Compton. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kalert of Carbondale; his children, Angela Grimmer (Bob Grimmer) and Stephen; and his grandson Ben Compton of Carbondale.
