He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gilbert Stearns and Berniece Stearns (Cox); his wife Martha French; his grandchildren, Taylor, Dr. Joshua Stearns-Browning (Nicole) and Hannah Miller; and his siblings, Carol Cole (Nancy) of Tuscon, AZ, Darwin Stearns of Carbondale, IL, Noralee Ellis (Keith) of Carbondale, IL. and Glenn Stearns of Pomona, IL.. He was also cherished by cousins and numerous nieces and nephews as well as his bonus grandchildren.
Memorials may be made at the funeral home to the Boskydell Cemetery Association.
