It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francelle Thorne (Carbondale, Illinois), who passed away on February 24, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Paul Brock and Julia Estelle Brock (Horrell). She is survived by: her former husband Philip Vincent Thorne; her husband Phil; her children, William "Woody" Thorne (Rita) and Frances Van Norman (Greg); her grandchildren, Mary Heltsley (Jarrod), Chuck Lauder (Paige), Michelle Murphy (Dugan), Mitch Lauder, Chris Van Norman, Julia Van Norman and Ellie Van Norman; and her great grandchildren, Hannah Heltsley, Harper Heltsley, Alayna Lauder and Alexa Lauder.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, SIH Foundation - Coach Kill Fund, or to SIU Athletics.
