She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Stearns and Edith Stearns (Tabouring); and her husband Charles Heern. She is survived by: her children, Jane Evans, Gary Heern (Glenda) and Roger Heern (Lori); her grandchildren, J. T. Evans (Amy Stretmater), Scott Evans (Cassie), Marissa McKee (Ryan) and Jared Heern (Carly); her stepgrandchildren, Miranda, Marissa and Mallori; her great grandchildren, Finn, Asher, Sofia, Colton and Oliver; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ephram, Gideon and Daxton; and her sisters, Joy Sanders and Effie Brimmer.
Memorials may be made in Fay's name to Makanda Evergreen Cemetery or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
