It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Wesley Petri of Carbondale, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Petri Sr. and Svea Petri (Ekegren). He is survived by: his wife Janice; his stepsons, Bob, Don and Victor; his son Richard (Sherry) of Chicago; his sister Lois of Michigan; and his grandson Franklin. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
